iHeartFaces – Messy

2 Mar

My brood are all pretty messy so iHeartFaces messy week should have been easy-peasy – until I remembered the age gap and that all my messy photos of Sprog1 and Sprog2 pre-date my digital days. So here’s Sprog3 getting down and dirty with some painting. To be fair it was the others that made a mess of him, he was toodling along with some concentration and a wee bit of skill before they decided to use him as a mobile canvas.

After he’d completed his masterpiece there’s no way he was getting indoors to clean up. I think this illicited mixed feelings.

Oh this is such a great entry – colorful and fun! I think your images look nicely crisp – much sharper than my point and shoot can deliver!

Aw thanks – I have a “success” rate at the moment of around 1 in 250 so I take a heck of a lot of rubbish before I get than one OK shot – thank gawd for huge memory cards! And Lightroom and Photoshop are very forgiving 🙂 The best photos I ever took were with a 35mm Autofocus Pentax compact back in the 80s – of course photos taken in pubs when everyone is full of Pernod are maybe always going to be “better”.

What a mess…and it is a unique mess, not involving food. 🙂 I think your picture is wonderful, but it could be kicked up some in PS with some brightening to the subject and darkening of the background to highlight your son. And bring out his multicolored back… 🙂

My oldest love to paint on my little ones. Finally she is getting good enough that it’s not such a messs and even kinda cute. I see all kinds of creative potential in this shot…looks like loads of fun…really 🙂

Love this whole set. We’ve done something similar here. We always have the inflatable pool out in the summer anyway so we toss the messy kids right in!
