No time for hypochondria

27 Apr

News of the swine-flu in Mexico broke on Friday.

My Dad flew back to work on Thursday.

He works in Matehuala, San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

He arrived to find his apartment had no running water (we’re wildly speculating from a vast distance away that the landlord and his family might have decided to spend some time at their second home on the coast – hell I would).

If he doesn’t get a flight back pronto I wonder if he’ll get one at all.

He might even end up in isolation when he does get back to Scotland.

Mind you, I bet he gets plenty room to stretch out on the plane!! Cough, ahem, cough.

I was thinking of the same situation when I found out my newlywed cousins were spending their honeymoon in Mexico. I definately hope all goes well for them & they’re wonderful getaway isn’t ruined by this outbreak! –Best wishes for your father.
