iHeartFaces – At the beach

27 Jul

This beach isn’t quite ready yet. Give it a few million years or so and I’m sure it will have worn down to gorgeous silver sand. For now though it’s a rocky beach. Which makes it way easier to pick bits up and chuck them in the sea without it blowing about and getting it in your eyes.

This is Paul chucking chuckies in the North Sea at the foot of Dunnottar Castle near Stonehaven. He was trying to skim them but barely got them wet as he wouldn’t stand close enough to the water. This was taken in April. I have to go that far back to get a whole 2 hours without rain. My “Summer Story” post for iHeartFaces next week is going to be dismal reading!

This is my entry…

And this is where he was trying to throw the stones, just so’s you can see it is a beach.

Primordial innit?

You know – I just love the way you write! It cracks me up!

I have been on a rock beach like yours and let’s just say – it isn’t very comfy to lie on and have a snooze! Or walk on. Or relax on!

However, this is a gorgeous photo of ‘your kind of beach’. And your Paul looks like he was making the best of it! lol

I live in the Northwest and our beaches are rocky too. It makes me appreciate sandy beaches all the more. You did a great job on the lighting of your son’s face – great pic!

Rocky beaches are so neat to photograph, I enjoy the different textures and shapes and the play of light so much more than sand sometimes. This particular beach looks amazing, the water is just beautiful! Nice pics!

What a GORGEOUS beach and so different from the other entries I’ve browsed so far. Your photo is beautiful and I love all the texture from the rocks.

Oh but at least it’s a BEACH! And so much better than our mudholes we call LAKES. ICK! He’s so handsome! Looks like he had a FANTASTIC birthday….minus the rain. LOL

Boys just love to throw rocks, don’t they? And I fully think this counts as a beach! 🙂
