what a cool haircut! I wouldn’t stop myself at bed making, clearly something funny is going on with planet alignment and they are actually listening, I would go for broke and get them to clean something.

    • mrsw June 10, 2010 at 6:46 pm #

Maybe with this haircut he’ll clean…. his hair!

  2. TheMadHouse June 10, 2010 at 3:46 pm #

Great haircut, I would try the chores too, you never know?

    • mrsw June 10, 2010 at 6:47 pm #

What are these “chores” you speak of? Things I am supposed to be doing? Oh dear…..

      • TheMadHouse June 10, 2010 at 6:57 pm #

Not you mrs, the boy – strike whilst the irons hot. Especially if he is doing as asked!

  3. Chris June 10, 2010 at 5:29 pm #

I’d chance your arm…great results, worth a try!

    • mrsw June 10, 2010 at 6:49 pm #

I think I will enjoy the harmony his looking a whole year older has brought to out home for a wee bit longer – he’s actually smiling.

  4. Marylin June 10, 2010 at 7:30 pm #

Nice one! Looks great! I’m gonna be getting the boys’ hair done soon hopefully. Well, not sure how Max will do tho, but Zack at least… and possibly Dean… 😉

    • mrsw June 10, 2010 at 9:50 pm #

Dean? I suspect he will resist! 🙂

  5. jinedin June 10, 2010 at 9:43 pm #

I strongly suggest while you’re on this roll you teach him to mix the perfect G&T.

    • mrsw June 10, 2010 at 9:52 pm #

Silly – he’s been able to chuck together a damn fine Cubra Libre since he was 8 – what do you take me for? I take my home educating responsibilities very seriously I’ll have you know!

  6. Priness_L_88 June 10, 2010 at 10:12 pm #

Wow! You’re like god, huh! 😛 Nice hair cut though! Good luck with the making the bed!

    • mrsw June 11, 2010 at 9:50 am #

If you mean “nobody in this house believes my words” then yeah!

  7. Barbara June 10, 2010 at 10:16 pm #

So, reading your last reply, no point in teaching him how to operate a corkscrew then!

Nice haircut and great pics, as ever.

    • mrsw June 11, 2010 at 9:50 am #

Hey – they can even manage shoving the cork back into the bottle with the end of a wooden spoon when they bugger it up – are you doubting my priorities?

  8. Insomniac Mummy June 10, 2010 at 10:46 pm #

    Ooooo, I love that haircut!

As fir tidying the room? I fear it may be a losing battle. Funky haircut = street cred, tidying your room = not so much.

Try subliminal messages and misdirection a la Derren Brown instead. 😉

    😀

    • mrsw June 11, 2010 at 9:51 am #

Screaming, shouting and posting photos of his room on Facebook not gonna work you think? Dang.

  9. muummmmeeeeee...... June 11, 2010 at 6:48 am #

Definitely…and dishwasher emptying and mowing the lawn and putting his dirty socks in the laundry basket as opposed to the bedroom floor….

    • mrsw June 11, 2010 at 9:52 am #

Actually – he’s good at the putting laundry in the right place bit – I consider my contribution to the sanity of the next generation of women almost complete with that to be honest.

That second haircut looks like my son’s barnet. He is steadily growing it into this floppy fringe thing and can’t pass a mirror at the moment. He still does bugger all around the house and school mornings are now worse as he insists I use my straighteners to get his style just right!!

    • mrsw June 11, 2010 at 9:54 am #

Yeah – the deal that involved him getting up half an hour earlier so I could do that lasted about one day. He’s off with a wooly hat on today – matches the short sleeves he wears in the snow I s’pose.

Love it! I’m taking all of my boys to get their hair cut this week too! And, none of them are fighting me on it! Must be the hot, sweaty, humid Florida weather! LOL

  12. Kelly June 11, 2010 at 1:04 pm #

That is quite a handsome young man! He looks capable of all manner of household chores 😉

  13. veryanniemary June 11, 2010 at 3:27 pm #

Bed making? Dream on! One of my kids frightened the life out of me by asking to take a shower yesterday – so you are already ahead of the game.

  14. Kristin (Wanderlust) June 11, 2010 at 8:14 pm #

I’m a bit late to the conversation but I’m going to go with upping the ante. What have you got to lose?

  15. Mwa June 11, 2010 at 8:30 pm #

Lovely hair cut! But I liked the before at least as much. And it’s not like his hair’s out of his eyes now… (I’m turning into my mother.)

  16. Hayley June 11, 2010 at 10:09 pm #

Aww your sons so sweet! Loving the hair 😀 xx

  17. Smitten by Britain June 12, 2010 at 2:46 am #

My son has the very same cut. It’s the “in” thing for boys. Just want to add that your photos are really great. Do you have any photography training or just self taught? Very nice.

You got a good hair style better than before however previous hair style was also good.
